HarbourFront MRT and the Circle Line Near The Island Residence

HarbourFront station is the rail hub closest to The Island Residence, about 1.2 km in a straight line from the site pin on Keppel Island. It is an interchange of two lines, the North East Line and the Circle Line, and since July 2026 it sits on a Circle Line that runs as a complete loop.

HarbourFront, the Interchange Nearest The Island Residence

HarbourFront is station NE1, the southern terminus of the North East Line, and CC29 on the Circle Line. The North East Line runs north through Outram Park, Chinatown, Clarke Quay and Dhoby Ghaut to Serangoon and Punggol; the Circle Line runs east towards Marina Bay and west towards Telok Blangah, Pasir Panjang and the one-north business park.

The station sits beneath HarbourFront Centre and VivoCity, so a train journey begins or ends at the doors of the largest mall on this stretch of coast, the Singapore Cruise Centre and the Sentosa Express.

The Completed Circle Line and The Island Residence

On 12 July 2026 Circle Line Stage 6 opened to passengers. It added three stations, Keppel (CC30), Cantonment (CC31) and Prince Edward Road (CC32), and connected HarbourFront directly to Marina Bay, completing a loop of 33 stations across 39 km, according to LTA’s announcement.

LTA notes that a trip from Telok Blangah to Marina Bay that once required changes between the Circle, North East and North-South Lines can now be made on a single train, saving around ten minutes. For a home on Keppel Island, that puts Tanjong Pagar, the Marina Bay financial district and the Greater Southern Waterfront’s new Keppel station on one line from HarbourFront.

Telok Blangah Station and The Island Residence

Telok Blangah station (CC28), one stop west on the Circle Line, is about 790 metres from the site pin in a straight line, across the water on the northern shore of Keppel Bay. Labrador Park station (CC27) is about 1.3 km away, for the nature reserve and Pasir Panjang.

Journeys on foot or by road cross Keppel Bay Bridge first, so they are longer than the straight line. The location page maps each station from the pin.

From The Island Residence to the City

Raffles Place, the heart of the Central Business District, is about 5 km away in a straight line. By rail, the North East Line reaches Chinatown and Dhoby Ghaut directly, and the Circle Line reaches Marina Bay without a change. The Greater Southern Waterfront guide describes how the coast between HarbourFront and Marina Bay is set to change.
